Income and Estate Tax Planning for Retirement Benefits

The employee benefits group of BB&K provides a full range of services in the areas of employee benefits, executive compensation and income and estate tax planning for retirement benefits.  

BB&K provides services in income tax planning associated with the use of qualified retirement plans by small businesses and professionals. This planning not only includes the design and selection of qualified plans, but also the planning associated with the distribution of benefits upon retirement and associated estate planning considerations.

Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plans

BB&K is experienced in the design and implementation of non-qualified deferred compensation plans for both private and public employers. Assistance can be provided with respect to public employer deferred compensation plans under Code Section 457 and private arrangements funded through rabbi and secular trusts.

BB&K also advises in the design and preparation of other non-qualified compensation arrangements such as stock appreciation and phantom stock plans, and stock option programs for corporate employees.
 

Other Employee Benefit Plans

BB&K advises clients with respect to ERISA welfare benefit plans including healthcare insurance and disability. Assistance can also be provided with respect to the administration of these plans and compliance with the increasing federal regulation of these programs.

Qualified Plan Design, Implementation and Administration

BB&K provides services in the design, implementation and administration of tax qualified retirement plans, including pension, profit-sharing and 401(k) cash and deferred arrangements. The firm is prepared to assist not only in implementing these programs but providing the on-going compliance and administrative services required by law including preparation of annual reports and annual statements to employees.
