As a special service to our public agency clients, Best Best & Krieger drafts and regularly updates local CEQA guidelines for more than 70 public agencies.

Through a subscription program, these agencies pool the costs of keeping current on recent legislative and judicial developments in CEQA. As part of this program, BB&K prepares local CEQA guidelines for many different public agencies, including cities, water districts and agencies, redevelopment agencies, special districts, school districts, joint powers authorities, and transportation authorities. These local CEQA guidelines help our public agency clients successfully navigate the environmental review process for development projects.

Each year BB&K attorneys update the local guidelines to include the most recent changes in the state CEQA guidelines and important court decisions involving CEQA. As part of the subscription to the local CEQA guidelines, we also send out client memos periodically to update our clients on the latest issues and concerns regarding CEQA which may affect public agencies.
