At the City of Hesperia's State of the City 2016 luncheon on Oct. 17, "Mayor Bill Holland said the room was full of 'superstars'." Among the community leaders who were recognized was BB&K attorney Thomas O'Connell "for his role 'in helping to spearhead the effort to create a Hesperia for future generations through the Hesperia 2034 program.'"
