Best Best & Krieger LLP attorney Victoria Hester was interviewed by Legal Newsline on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold ordinances that ban mobile billboards.
“The court determined that in targeting 'advertising,' the ordinances regulated the manner (not the content) of the affected speech, and were narrowly tailored to achieve significant government interests," Victoria told Legal Newsline.
“The policymakers cite traffic control, public safety, and aesthetics as reasons for adopting the ordinances,” Victoria said.
