Palm Springs Life Magazine’s Annual List Includes Partners Robert Hargreaves, Douglas Phillips and G. Henry Welles

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Three Best Best & Krieger LLP partners were selected by Palm Springs Life magazine to be on its list of Top Lawyers in the Coachella Valley. The magazine based its selections on Martindale Hubbell rankings, as well as its own reviews. The three BB&K attorneys all work from the firm’s Indian Wells office. The attorneys and the category they were listed under are:

• Robert Hargreaves (Energy): Hargreaves practices general municipal law, but focuses on energy, land use and other environmental issues. He is the city attorney for the City of Palm Desert and represents the cities of Indian Wells, Coachella, Needles and San Jacinto in various capacities. He is general counsel to the Salton Sea Authority, the Valley Sanitary District and the Mt. San Jacinto Winter Park Authority.
• Douglas Phillips (Litigation): Phillips is experienced in civil litigation, appellate law, municipal, environmental and condemnation law. He is a deputy city attorney for City of Palm Desert, and represents the City of Indian Wells in litigation matters.
• G. Henry Welles (Intellectual Property): Welles is chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property group and managing partner of the Indian Wells office. His practice involves litigation of trademark, copyright, patent infringement, unfair competition and trade secret cases, as well as trademark registration, trade secret protection, Internet issues, intellectual property licensing and copyright protection issues.
