BB&K Partner Kelly Salt was interviewed by the Stockton Record on public agencies’ responsibility to renters under Prop. 218 in regard to water rate hikes.

Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner Kelly Salt told the Stockton Record that public agencies’ responsibility to notify renters of water rate hikes, and about their right to protest them, is “the subject of some debate.” Interviewed for a story about a proposed water rate hike in the City of Stockton, Calif., Kelly discussed a 2014 court ruling regarding notice to property owners, but noted the law doesn’t address renters.
