The appointment of BB&K Partner Robert Hargreaves comes after colleague, BB&K Partner David Erwin, passed away.

The City of Palm Desert appointed Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner Robert Hargreaves to the position of city attorney during a closed session on Nov. 12. The appointment of the first new city attorney in 42 years comes after the passing of BB&K Partner David Erwin on Nov. 7. Dave was the only city attorney Palm Desert has ever known, according to The Desert Sun.

“It is a great honor to sit here in this chair as your city attorney ... but it is also circumstances of great sadness. Dave is irreplaceable and he’ll certainly be sorely missed,” Robert said, according to the newspaper.
