“Soup-er Stars” Award Recognizes Riverside Residents Who Impact their Communities


RIVERSIDE, Calif.- Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner George Reyes was among six Riverside residents honored on Oct. 23 for their contributions to the community. Reyes received the “Soup-er Stars” Award for his work with nonprofits, which includes serving on the boards of many organizations.

Reyes, who is a member of BB&K’s Business Services practice group, works with nonprofits including the Children’s Fund, the Riverside Community Health Foundation, the Riverside Community College Chancellor’s Circle of Innovation, the Economic Development Council of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, the Riverside Community Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties and the Inland Empire Economic Partnership. Previously, he served on the boards of the Inland Board of Trustees of Olive Crest Abused Children Foundation, the Riverside Medical Foundation, Riverside Hospice, Inland Empire Open, Inc. and Volunteer Center of Greater Riverside, among others.

Megan Rainey, business administrator of the Salvation Army, told the Riverside Press-Enterprise that this is the sixth annual luncheon to honor Riverside's residents who work to make the city a safer, cleaner and happier place to live. "Our greatest intention is to inspire additional good work, and I think it is inspirational to hear about the things they've accomplished," Rainey said.
