Congratulations to each of these attorneys for their recognition.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Best Best & Krieger LLP is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys were selected by the Sacramento Business Journal for the publication’s annual Best of the Bar list. According to the editors, the list includes the Sacramento area’s “most prominent and well-respect attorneys.”

Each of the selected attorneys were asked to answer questions about themselves, and give a bit of advice to new lawyers. Here is some of what the BB&K honorees said:

Ann Schwing: “Always take the ethical high road. Expect the best of yourself and others; give it and often you will get it.”

Stacey Sheston: “There’s a reason they refer to it as ‘practicing’ law – you are going to learn tons of new things, and you’ll be good at some and lousy at others, at least initially.”

Harriet Steiner: “Find an area of the law that you enjoy and that you are passionate about and put your energies into building that area into your practice.”

Kara Ueda: “Be kind and respectful to everyone in the profession.”

Iris Yang: “Hone your writing skills – being able to communicate in writing well and clearly is essential, whether it’s a memo, a brief, a client letter or an email.”
