Press Releases

Addition Gives Firm and Clients a Stronger Voice in Federal Governmental Relations

WASHINGTON, D.C. - We are pleased to announce that Annick C. Miller Rivera has joined Best Best & Krieger LLP as a legislative assistant in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She will work closely with the firm’s Governmental Affairs senior director in developing and implementing legislative action plans — especially on policies related to water, the environment and related infrastructure issues, as well as telecommunications.

Prior to joining BB&K, Miller Rivera served as legislative assistant to former House Natural Resources Committee Chairman "Doc" Hastings (R-Washington). In this role, she briefed and advised the Congressman on various policy issues and legislative actions, including agriculture and water and their interconnections.

“With four years of working on Capitol Hill, Annick brings to BB&K a unique perspective on complicated policy issues that will benefit the firm’s clients and bolster its growing lobbying services,” said Governmental Affairs Senior Director John Freshman.

Miller Rivera has a master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in international business from Johnson & Wales University.
