Adriana R. Sanchez Joins Firm’s San Diego Office

SAN DIEGO _  Best Best & Krieger LLP has hired Adriana R. Sanchez as an attorney in its special districts practice, whose clients include school districts, water districts, fire protection districts and transportation agencies throughout California.

Sanchez, a San Diego native who graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in May 2007, will be a third-year litigation associate at the firm and work on cases involving special districts, and eminent domain and environmental law.

“BB&K has an outstanding reputation in California, especially in the area of land use law,” Sanchez said, explaining her decision to join the firm.

Prior to joining BB&K, Sanchez worked at Sandler, Lasry, Laube, Byer & Valdez LLP in San Diego.

While a student, Sanchez interned at law firms in London and Barcelona. Fluent in both Spanish and Italian, Sanchez clerked for the Casa Cornelia Law Center in San Diego where she worked with immigrant victims of domestic violence and other abuse victims.

“We are thrilled to welcome someone with such a diverse skill set and wide range of experiences to a key area of our firm,” said Jeff Ferre, an attorney who heads BB&K’s special districts practice.

Sanchez, 27, is an active volunteer in the San Diego community and sits on the board of directors for the San Diego Downtown YMCA.

She is also a member of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, The California Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association and The Lawyers Club of San Diego, which works for the advancement of women in the legal field.
