SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Please join us in congratulating Best Best & Krieger partners Kara Ueda and Susan Schoenig, who were selected by the Sacramento Business Journal for inclusion on the Best of the Bar 2014 list.

Schoenig, a member of BB&K’s Labor & Employment, Municipal Law and Litigation practice groups, told the Business Journal that the most important lesson learned in her law career is: “Strong advocacy doesn’t mean manipulating the evidence or personally attacking your opponent or his or her client, especially since, many times, an opponent today can be a referral source tomorrow.”

Ueda is in BB&K’s Municipal Law, Elections and Land Use practice groups. She told the publication about her top career achievement: “I worked with a team of attorneys from Legal Services Northern California and in private practice to successfully advocate on behalf of Sacramento-area residents in the Avondale/Glen Elder neighborhood to convince the Public Utilities Commission to not permit a natural gas storage project underneath the residents’ homes.”
