BB&K partner Jeff Ferre was a featured speaker at the 2009 Urban Drought Workshop: Managing the Crisis. The workshop was sponsored by the Water Education Foundation and the Association of California Water Agencies.

With California gripped by a three-year drought, Ferre offered tips on how water districts can implement water conservation programs and water shortage emergency policies.

He was part of the panel, "Legal Issues – Rules and Regulations for Declaring Drought and Shortage."
