SAN DIEGO _ Best Best & Krieger LLP recently hired Sarah R. Lustig as an associate attorney in its labor and employment practice group.

Based in the firm’s San Diego office, Lustig’s practice focuses on representing employers in the public and private sectors in labor and discrimination cases arising under federal and state laws. She also defends clients against administrative complaints with federal Equality Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Lustig also advises clients on employment policies related to harassment, wage and hour issues, workplace violence, leaves of absence, drug and alcohol testing, discipline and termination.

“I was drawn to BB&K because it is a full-spectrum law firm that offers a wide array of services to its clients,” Lustig said.

Prior to joining BB&K, Lustig worked at Rediger, McHugh & Owensby, a Sacramento boutique law firm concentrating on labor and employment defense.

A San Diego native, Lustig graduated with a master’s degree in regulatory affairs from San Diego State University in 2004 and received her law degree from the University of California, Davis in 2007. During law school, she interned with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing in Elk Grove and Disability Rights Advocates in Berkeley.
