Officials at the Riverside Art Museum said a $900,000 bequest couldn't have come at a better time.

"We couldn't be more excited," said the museum's board president Matt Shea after announcing the gift from Agatha "Jane" Baxter on Friday.

Best Best & Krieger attorney Chris Carpenter is handling Baxter's estate. He said she had no children and left other large gifts for the Salvation Army and the Community Foundation.
