Alexandra B. Andreen is an associate in the Municipal Law practice group of Best Best & Krieger’s Riverside office, focusing on litigation.

She has served as an extern in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Hon. Catherine E. Bauer, provided free legal services to low-income seniors in Orange County through the Alona Cortese Elder Law Center and was a summer law clerk for the Riverside City Attorney’s Office.

Alexandra received her law degree, cum laude, from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law. During law school, she served as an academic fellow in Property Law, the notes & comments editor of the Chapman Law Review, and a representative of the Student Bar Association. She also competed for the mock trial team at the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition in San Francisco and the American Bar Association’s Arbitration Competition in Chicago.

While at Chapman, Alexandra received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Procedure, Negotiations, Professional Responsibility, and Trial Advocacy. Her comment, “The Cost of Sunshine: The Threat to Public Employee Privacy Posed by the California Public Records Act” was recently published by the Chapman Law Review.

Prior to law school, Alexandra studied in Spain and spent a summer in Washington, D.C. as a congressional intern. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied anthropology.

Alexandra grew up in San Luis Obispo. She developed an interest in working with municipalities through active involvement in her community, volunteering in several local political races, and working as a law clerk for a firm that represented the County of San Luis Obispo in tort actions. She recently relocated to Riverside, and is enjoying exploring the area. She unwinds by cooking, taking spin classes and playing board games.
