Katy Wisinski works with cities and special districts throughout the Bay Area, and serves as the assistant city attorney for the City of Pleasant Hill and the assistant town attorney for the Town of Fairfax. She is of counsel in the Municipal Law practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Walnut Creek office.

Katy advises clients in a number of areas, including planning and zoning, as well as Public Records Act compliance, the Brown Act and police matters. She has significant experience in drafting and amending ordinances, resolutions, policies and procedures; reviewing and advising on documents prepared for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and drafting and negotiating contracts and service agreements, among other things.

Katy previously served as in-house counsel for the City of Walnut Creek (assistant city attorney) and the City of Concord (deputy city attorney). She is an active participant in the League of California Cities and serves on the editorial board for the Municipal Law Handbook.
