Annick C. Miller Rivera is a legislative assistant with Best Best & Krieger LLP, where she is responsible for providing in-depth federal legislative analysis. Annick assists the Government Relations Services senior director and partners in developing and implementing legislative action plans.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as legislative assistant to former House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings. In this role, she briefed and advised the Congressman on various policy issues and legislative actions, including agriculture and water and their interconnections, as well as telecommunications issues. She maintained frequent communications with industry and public sector stakeholders. She has four years of experience working on Capitol Hill, where she has mastered complicated Committee and agriculture issues and worked closely with staff and constituents.

Her master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University gave her the ability to understand issues substantively while translating them politically. In addition to her work for Congressman Hastings, she previously worked for Congressman Mike Coffman from Colorado, managing his constituent communications program.

She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
