Shelby M. Young

Paralegal*

Shelby M. Young is a paralegal in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Municipal Law practice group. She has more than 30 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, focusing on large-scale, complex litigation matters. Over the past six years, Shelby’s work as a paralegal primarily focuses on  land use, environmental and eminent domain matters. 

Shelby is experienced in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial motions and discovery, preparing for and attending trials and assisting in appellate matters. She has extensive experience with the development, creation and maintenance of customized case databases, electronic discovery and various software used to manage depositions and transcripts. Shelby has trained staff and attorneys in the use of litigation support software and has worked extensively with litigation support companies in connection with document coding, electronic discovery and electronic trial presentations.

Shelby obtained her paralegal certificate from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles.
