Cambria C. Smith provides a range of legal services to municipal and special district clients, including issues related to social media, elections, the Brown Act, and the California Public Records Act. Cambria also works with school districts in the field of education law. She is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Ontario office.

Cambria is the assistant city attorney for the City of La Habra Heights. She also serves as Deputy District Counsel for the South Montebello Irrigation District.

Cambria earned her law degree from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California in 2013. During law school, she was a teaching assistant to Professor Susan R. Estrich and assisted Professor Estrich with two undergraduate law courses introducing legal issues in society and election law issues to undergraduates. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Estrich and provided support for a book discussing questions and problems in the law that law schools do not teach to young lawyers. Cambria was the mentoring program chair for the Women’s Law Association at Gould and volunteered mentoring first-year law students.

Prior to attending law school, Cambria worked as a faculty assistant at the University of Southern California. She earned three Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations, Political Science and Spanish, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California in 2008. As an undergraduate, Cambria lived, worked and studied in Buenos Aires and the District of Columbia.

Cambria volunteers as a pro bono attorney for the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association (IELLA). She is also a member of the Inland Empire Legal Association of Women (IELAW).
