Kevin Wang is an associate in the Municipal Law practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Sacramento office. Kevin’s practice concentrates on all aspects of public contracting with a focus on public works construction and infrastructure construction law.

Kevin has extensive experience in all aspects of public works construction, including construction contracting, construction claims resolution, state and federal prevailing wage law compliance and construction defect. Kevin routinely assists public agencies and private owners with the construction process, beginning with the preparation of construction contract documents, resolution of bid protests, subcontractor substitution, insurance and bond matters, contract administration, claim and dispute resolution, and project close out. Kevin’s broad project experience includes transportation systems, water and wastewater treatment and recycling systems, parks and other recreational facilities, commercial buildings, educational facilities and many other heavy construction and general building projects.

Kevin received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Maryland Journal of Business and Technology Law. During law school, he was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award for his work with inmates in Baton Rouge Parish Prison in Baton Rouge, La. Prior to joining BB&K, Kevin was employed as a law clerk at the United States Department of Transportation, Office of Chief Counsel in Washington, D.C. where he worked extensively on the Corporate Average Fuel Economy standard rulemaking.

Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Davis. As an undergraduate, he interned with several civil and environmental engineering firms, including Kiewit-Pacific Corporation, where he was a member of the construction and design team for the northbound section of the Benicia-Martinez Bridge.
