Seth Merewitz is a partner in the Municipal Law practice group and heads the Public-Private Partnership/Joint Venture group at Best Best & Krieger LLP. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he was a shareholder with McDonough Holland & Allen in Sacramento.

Mr. Merewitz provides advisory and transactional services to developers, land owners, public agencies and private entities. His practice focuses on real estate development including zoning, land use and master-planned communities; and military base reuse. Mr. Merewitz represents applicants on entitlement and permit processing matters and has particular expertise in public-private partnerships and government assistance, in-fill and mixed-use development, infrastructure financing, and commercial and industrial development.

Professional and Community Involvement
Mr. Merewitz is a full member with the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is part of the leadership of the Los Angeles District Council and the national ULI Residential Neighborhood Development Product Council.

From 2001 to 2009, he was the appointed contract city attorney for the City of Marysville. He also served as an appointed Planning Commissioner in Yolo County from 1995-1997.
