Douglas S. Phillips

Partner

Douglas Phillips is a partner in the Litigation practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP. He has gained broad experience in appellate law since 1983. Mr. Phillips has handled more than 100 appeals and extraordinary writs, primarily in the Fourth Appellate District. He has represented public agencies and private parties in all types of civil litigation and brings extensive knowledge of civil matters to his work as an appellate advocate.

Mr. Phillips currently serves as a mediator in the Fourth Appellate District, Division Two. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Riverside County Bar Association and the Desert Bar Association. He has been an appellate law instructor at Chapman University since 1983.

Before joining Best Best & Krieger in 1986, he was with the firm of Erwin, Andelson & Eldred in the Coachella Valley.
