Former Assistant City Attorney of Chula Vista and San Diego Prosecutor


Elizabeth W. Hull has joined Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BB&K) Irvine and San Diego offices as of counsel in the firm’s municipal and redevelopment law practice group.

Hull advises public agency clients on a wide range of redevelopment, planning, land use and construction issues.  She also advises clients on public works projects utilizing traditional low-bid, construction manager, and design-build project delivery systems.  Hull has extensive experience in the Political Reform Act, Brown Act, Government Code Section 1090 and general conflict of interest issues.

Prior to joining BB&K, Hull served as Assistant City Attorney for Development Services for the City of Chula Vista.  During her more than eight years with Chula Vista, she represented and advised City departments, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency.  Hull worked on public works projects as varied as street repair, corporation yard remodel and the design-build of a new police facility and civic center.  The Chula Vista design-build projects she worked on are valued at over $100 million.

Earlier in her career, Hull served as a prosecutor for the City of San Diego, prosecuting more than 20 jury trials.

Hull earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1995 and her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1990.
